Brittney Kole Smith passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Brittney was born December 27, 1979, in Big Spring, Texas to Gary and Karan Phillips.
She married Morris Smith on June 28, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She graduated from Big Spring High School in 1998. She attended Howard College and achieved certifications as a Phlebotomist and Medical Assistant. She worked as Assistant Youth Sports Director at the San Angelo YMCA. She devoted much of her time and energy to working with kids and serving her community. She was passionate about her family and friends. She loved spending time with Morris and their son Jadyn and enjoyed anything her nieces were involved in.
Brittney is survived by her husband Morris of San Angelo, mother Karan Phillips of Big Spring, brother Jason Phillips and wife Lauri and nieces Kendall and Reagan all of Forsan, Grandmother Joyce Davidson of Andrews, Father-in-law Noble Smith and wife Cheryl of Houston, step children Hayley and Keshaun Smith of Minnesota, Brother-in-law Damon Carroll of San Angelo, Brother-in-law Noble Smith, Jr of Austin, Brother-in-law Dexter Smith of Houston, and multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were very dear to her.
Brittney’s life might seem too short to many but those who knew her understand that the quality of her life far exceeds the quantity of time that she lived. Her smile and personality brought so much joy to her family and friends.
We find comfort in knowing Brittney is in no more pain and is loving on Jadyn and Dodo.
The family suggests memorials to the Gary “Dodo” Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund at Forsan ISD.
