Oscar Martinez De La Rosa Sr., 87, passed away on Tuesday, January 26th, 2021 in San Angelo, Texas. Oscar was born on July 12, 1933 in Del Rio, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Juanita De La Rosa, his son Oscar De La Rosa Jr. and his grandson, Christopher Greenwood. Oscar is survived by his children, Luke Ortiz, Dale Tinsley, Deedra Tinsley, Oscar Brandon De La Rosa, Darlene Tinsley, Germaine De La Rosa Mounce, Loraine De La Rosa Greenwood, Gregory De La Rosa and Delisa Duran. He is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Oscar worked at a non-commission officer Club on Goodfellow Airforce Base as a lead Chef. He cooked for many places including Best Western, Bentwood Country Club, La Quinta Inn and the San Angelo Country Club as well as Skydiving Club 1960’s.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, January 29, 2021 at Belvedere Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/ Sherwood Way.
