Jo Nell Carr (Carr)

Jo Nell Carr was born to proud parents, Ruby and William (Buddy) Carr, on March 16, 1960. After a lengthy grueling battle with a series of medical challenges she went to be with the LORD on January 14, 2021 at 3:20 PM. Jo is preceded in death by her father. She leaves behind a loving mother, step father (Jerry Applebee), sister Linda Sharp (her life-long friend and companion) as well as Linda’s husband Randy, and step-brother Anthony Applebee. Jo also is survived by nephews Dennis Sharp (and wife Michelle), Heath Sharp (and wife Katie), aunts Barbara Self and Bonnie Campbell, and many loved cousins. She leaves many grand nephews and nieces alone with a host of close friends and associates.

Jo was a fun loving, hard working, loyal and devoted daughter, sister, and friend! She was a 1978 graduate of San Angelo’s Central High School. Her early working position she was employed for POOL Well Service but soon found her calling by following her father’s employment path to Angelo State University roads and grounds. After 30 years there she retired to focus her energy tending countless beautiful San Angelo private home lawns. Jo was dedicated to her client’s as much as they were her. Many clients passed on over the years; each one knowing and appreciating JO’s bond with them.

Jo was loved more and will be missed more the she possibly knew. Two facts are undeniable. The world was a far better place because she was there. It will be much less now that she is not here. We ask everyone to remember her and continue the love she shared.
