Brenda Jo King

Brenda Jo King, age 73 of San Angelo, Texas passed away January 2, 2021 due to complications from Covid-19. A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm Monday January 11, at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Garden, reception to follow at Ought 2 Ranch. Born July 17, 1947 Brenda was the daughter of the late Wallace (Pete) and Louise Moulton. She was born and raised in San Angelo. She had two brothers, and 1 sister. She graduated from Lakeview High School in 1965 where she loved playing in the band. She was married 47 years to Glen (Tommy) King, and she had 5 children. Brenda had numerous accomplishments throughout her life. She retired from Verizon after more than 20 years of service. She and her husband were San Angelo small business owners of BJ’s Upholstery Shop and All West Texas Pool. Anyone that knew Brenda though would tell you her most monumental achievements were her kids, grandkids, and great-grand child. She was born to be “Graw” as she was so famously nicknamed. She loved her family BIG! She took pride in not only being a constant presence in their lives, but their biggest cheerleader as well. She told us that her life was made better by us, but the truth is our lives were all made better by her. She will be remembered for her boundless faith and endless patience, both a testament to her relationship with her Lord and Savior. Brenda was a member of Glen Meadows Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Glen King; her daughter Tammy Haley; her brothers Joe and Tom Moulton. She is survived by son Patrick Haley and wife Kristen and grandchildren Austin and Alyssa of Fort Worth, TX; daughter Candace King and grandchildren Kylie and Dillon and great granddaughter Kinsley of Fort Worth, TX; son Andy King and granddaughter Avree of San Angelo, TX; daughter Amanda McAllister and husband Randall and grandsons Colten and Westen of Christoval, TX; granddaughter Mollie Montanez and wife Daisy of Seymour, TX; sister, Dedra Carter and her husband J.D. of San Angelo, TX; 2 nieces; 1 nephew; 1 great niece; and 2 great nephews all in Texas.
