Mildred ("Millie") Ellen Williams, beloved mother, sister and friend, born to Raymond Cullins and Ona Mae Beard Cullins March 8, 1938 in Evant, Texas, went home to be with her Lord on December 6, 2020. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Frank Williams, her beloved eldest daughter Debra Collette Griffin, and her sisters Estie Perkins and Eva Capshaw. Millie is survived by her brother James Cullins; daughters Rebecca "Becky" and Jeff Love of Boise, Idaho; Shandra Lynn "Sam" Williams of San Angelo; Anna "Kay" and Ben Gardner of Rosenberg, Texas; Rachel Gail and Mitch Parson of Lewes, Delaware; and son in law Homer Griffin of San Angelo; nine grandchildren: John and Jenny Griffin of Houston, Debra Nichole Griffin of Tacoma, WA; Amanda Bartlett of Meridian, Idaho; Jessica and Adam Sharkey of Boise, Idaho; J.D. and Brittany Nicole Love of Boise, Idaho; Candace and Patrick South of Clyde, Texas; Andrew and Cheyenne Currie of Forth Worth; Michael and Erin Currie of Abilene; Katie and Janard Medonnell of Pennsylvania; 19 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Mrs. Millie received Christ shortly after she married Frank and served faithfully in various roles in church ministry including prayer ministries, ladies retreats, youth camps, mission trips and volunteered with her husband Frank for the Red Cross. She was a caring and conscientious Registered nurse for many years. Millie also shared her faith and wisdom as a published author and speaker.
Mrs. Millie was dearly loved by all who knew her. She was a heroic warrior in her victory over cancer. Her resilient faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ clothed in gentle strength are only a part of the amazing legacy she leaves us.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Glen Meadows Baptist Church located at 6002 Knickerbocker Rd. in San Angelo, Texas. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home/ Sherwood Way.
