Jennie Middleton, went to be with the Lord November 28. 2020 in San Angelo, Texas. Jennie was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on August 8, 1938 to Joseph and Aggie Fontana. She graduated from Palmer High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jennie married David R. Middleton in San Angelo, Texas and they were married 41 years. She liked to camp, fish, and travel. Her greatest hobby was playing slot machines at the Casinos.

She retired from Barry’s of San Angelo, where she worked for 18 years. After retirement she went to work for Shannon Medical Center for 6 years until retiring fulltime so she could spend time with children and grandchildren.
Jennie is preceded in death by her parents, husband David (Richard), her two sisters Emily Baker and Polly Hill.
She is survived by her 5 children and their spouses, Robert McCarthy of Jacksonville, Florida. Phyllis Hewitt of Livermore, Maine. Anthony McCarthy of San Angelo, Teresa Watson (Tim) of San Angelo, Karen Martin (Roy) San Angelo. Grandchildren, Richard Middleton, Jennifer Hewitt, Shane McCarthy, Michael Middleton, Christi Middleton and spouse Cody Pearson. Tim Watson Jr., Roy Lee Martin III, Randy Martin (fiancé) Taylor Curtis all of San Angelo. 13 great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.
A very special thanks to the nurses, med aides, and nursed Aides at Park Place Nursing Home, and St. Gabriels Hospice in San Angelo.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9am to 6pm, at Shaffer Funeral Home in Grapecreek. Private family visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm. Graveside services will be held at 3pm, On Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
