Betty M. Robinson, 88, of San Angelo, TX., passed from this life into the gates of heaven, on November 4, 2020.
Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was an avid lover of nature and an amazing soul.
Betty was blessed to have met the love of her life, William Robinson, and spent over 50 years happily married. During William’s time in the Air Force, they found great joy traveling the world together and eventually made their way back to San Angelo to start a career in law-enforcement.
She had many accomplishments in her life. To name just a few, she graduated from Howard college with a major in criminal justice then went on to work for the Tom Green County Jail, becoming the first female corrections officer in Tom Green County. Overtime, she was promoted, becoming the first ranking female officer in the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Department. She then went on to become the founder and managing partner of the Robinson Agency Private Investigations, and then later Robinson Surety and Bail Bonds.
Though her proudest accomplishment was her two sons, Greg and Tony, then the grandchildren and great grandchildren that followed. Betty loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband William, her parents Morris and Lorene Jennings, and her son Anthony Robinson.
She is survived by her brother Don Jennings, her son Gregory Robinson, her daughter Robin Abbott, granddaughters Kandyce, Lorene, and Jessie. 10 great grandchildren & 5 great great grandchildren.
Betty touched the lives of everyone she met, had a smile that lit the room, and a heart that was unforgettable. She will be truly missed by so many.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her great grandson Dakotta Daniels and the wonderful team at Sage Crest Memory Care Unit.
Due to COVID-19 the family has decided not to have a public service at this time.
