Patricia Jean Doty 76, was born February 17, 1944 to Gerome and Geraldine Gipson in Pana Illinois. She married the love of her life and best friend Richard Eugene Doty on June 27, 1959. They shared 42 wonderful years together before his death October 27, 2001. Together they raised 8 kids, Cathy (Mackey); Mike; Jaime; Bob; Rick; Jeff (Tiffany); Randy; and Amanda. From their 8 kids she was blessed with 24 Grandkids, 28 Great Grandkids with 2 more on the way. Each one held a special place in her heart.
Mom's favorite past time was cooking for her family. When she cooked they all came running. Her noodles were her most requested of all her dishes. Popcorn balls and hard candy was an absolute must during the holiday season. When she wasn't taking care of family she would find herself a quiet spot in the front yard under the big shade trees or piled up on her porch swing reading a romance novel. When Dad was still with us they shared a lot of their time watching tv together from their recliners in the living room. Nascar was always on every Sunday. Even after he left she still enjoyed watching tv from her recliner only now often sharing it with a grandchild or two. Walking through the front door of her home she was never hard to find. She never wonder very far. If you needed Mom you could always find her!
Waiting on mom to arrive in Heaven were her parents, her adoring husband Richard, sons Mike and Bob, 2 Grandsons Justin and Cody, Great Grandson Jonethan, along with Great Granddaughter Makenzie.
As per moms wishes there will be no traditional service. We are keeping our word and getting together with family and friends and enjoying a BBQ lunchon just like she wanted. Which will be held this Saturday October 3, 2020 at 1pm. at 2351 Old Ballinger Hwy, San Angelo, Texas.
