Luis Martinez was born on August 25, 1923 to Ygnacio and Ramona Martinez in Skidmore, Texas.

Luis proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving during WWII and the Korean war. While on the ship, he cut hair for his fellow soldiers.
Later he was very proud that he was able to go to barber school and become a real barber. He later retired from Ethicon and after retirement, he continued to cut hair.
Luis worked hard all of his life and was a wonderful provider for his family.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Refugia; and his son Luis Martinez Jr; as well as his parents.
Luis is survived by his daughter, Eliza Martinez of San Angelo; his sisters, Georgia Thomas of San Antonio, TX, Dominga Silva of San Antonio, TX, Juanita Mazerowlle from Indianapolis, IN; brother, Domingo Martinez from Lawton, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
