Don Ware aka "China Blue" was born September 22, 1965 in Corsicana, Texas and gained his angel wings on February 27, 2019.

Don graduated from Lake View High School in 1984. He went on to graduate from Texas College of Cosmetology. Don loved making people beautiful through his talent of hair and makeup.

China Blue traveled the US performing in many venues and won the title of Miss Gay Universe in 2000.

Don is preceded in death by his grandparents, E.T. "Shorty" & Noba Ware and Joe & Martha Hester as well as several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by father, Jerry (Katie) Ware; mother, Janice (Larry) Johnson; sister, Angela Carter, nephew, Coy Carter and several aunts, uncles and cousins. China leaves behind way too many friends to try and name them all.

There will be a visitation at 7734 Kildee Trail in Grape Creek immediately following the memorial service.

Standing in Joyces kitchen Don shared his China page with me. As we looked through China's amazing photos i told him how beautiful China is and we had our arms around each other. He said thank you. I said " Girl you fine!" We laughed. I will miss eating some of Joyces "Terrible cakes" with Don. He was such a special sweet soul.

5-hour phone calls and then a call back 30 mins later because we forgot to say something or tell a new thing we saw on the news, All the help and support you gave when my life turned upside down. All the Shows and Fundraiser we worked on Toeghter. We have had a lifetime of Friendship and have became a family of our own I miss you every day/ But I know one day soon we shall see each other in the World beyond this.
