Obituary for Richard Ray Simpson

Richard Ray  Simpson
Richard Ray Simpson went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 18, 2018. Visitation is all day, Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the funeral home located at 1939 Sherwood Way. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00, Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the San Angelo Cowboy Church, officiated by Jay Johnson. Internment will follow at Pioneer Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
Richard was born September 20, 1952 in Ballinger, Texas to Andes Emmett Simpson and Rosa Lee Swafford. He married Amy White on May 22, 1999. He worked as a truck driver transporting frozen foods for many years. Richard was an active member of the San Angelo Cowboy Church. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend who will be missed greatly by all those whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Roberts; brother, Andes Emmett Simpson III.
Richard is survived by his wife, Amy L. White- Simpson; daughter, Angela R. Nichols; son, Richard E. Simpson; stepson, Larry D. Wallace; stepdaughter, Melaine H. Lang; six grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; brother, Bill Simpson; sisters, Peggy Tully and husband Jim, Sharon Jones and husband Pinky , Cynthia Barbian, Becky Jones and husband Tommy; mother in law, Sandi Brown. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
