Nell Elaine “Watson” Spurgers was born on March 20, 1927 to Fred and Faye Watson in Luling, Texas. She spent most of her early life in Eldorado, Texas where she attended school. Nell was married for thirty three years to Floyd Spurgers and they lived mostly in Clyde, Texas. She was also married to William Spurgers for twenty seven years.

She is survived by her sons, Lannie Spurgers and wife Pam, Kye Spurgers and Robert Spurgers; two grandsons, Joshua and wife Carla; Zachary and wife Kim; nieces, Cathy and Sandy; step daughter, Rhetta Wright and husband Glenn; step son, Tim Spurgers and several step grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Faye and William Spurgers; son, David Spurgers; sister, Gloria Perry and her husband Travis. Nell was best known for her peanut brittle and “Nana” hot rolls.
