My condolences to Sam’s children Cheryl,Tina,Cynthia and Chip. Cheryl and I were classmates and I believe Tina was a year behind us . I remember many evenings spent at their home and it was always so much fun and was so accepted by the whole family. Cheryl and I could talk on the phone for hours (like most teenage girls) and even a few years back she contacted me while she was in San Angelo to check on her dad. I treasure the kindness that the Keeney family showed me that crazy 7th grade year as I had just lost my own father in August before school started. Blessings and love to all of you. And I know heaven is brighter with that sweet smile that Mr Keeney always had for us a little less fortunate. God bless to all of you.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences for the loss of our beloved Uncle Sam. Words cannot express how saddened we are to hear of his loss and that we are unable to attend his service. Our memories of Uncle Sam will miss his sweet laugh, hearing him say "Goodness", the Catfish restaurant visits where he competed with Craig to see who could eat the most, watching him dance to Bob Wills, and most importantly, that non-stop "whistle" of his. Uncle Sam was an incredible man that had the gift of craftsmanship and shared his talents with those he loved. I/we will forever treasure the chest he made for us.
Uncle Sam and Mary Leigh were a wonderful couple and their love for one another was evident every time we were around them. We love you Uncle Sam and we will forever have your loving memories embedded in our hearts.
