Obituary for Janice Darlene O'Bryant (Manton)
JANICE DARLENE O’BRYANT
SAN ANGELO – Janice Darlene O’Bryant passed away on Christmas Day, Monday, December 25, 2017. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, December 29, 2017 at Shaffer Funeral Home’s Pioneer Chapel. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Grape Creek.
Janice was born January 29, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas to John Edward and Florence Ethel Manton Jr. Growing up she lived overseas as her father served in the US. Air Force. She returned to the United States in 1960 to San Angelo, Texas where she attended Alta Loma Elementary, Lee Junior High and graduated from Central High School in 1971. She went on to graduate LVN School in 1973. Over the years Janice also worked as a dog groomer at Sears Dog Grooming and was employed at Ethicon for 20 years until her retirement. Janice married William Dub O’Bryant on February 1, 2003.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Janice is survived by her husband, William D. O’Bryant; brother, John Edward Manton III and Barbara and her two nephews, John IV and wife Andrea Manton, Douglas and wife Holly Manton; one niece, Teresa and husband Jerry and seven grand nephews and nieces, her sister Jeanette and husband Carl Montgomery. She is also survived by her step children Dugan O’Bryant and wife Paula and their children, Jacklyn Hurt and husband Chris, Kaci and Bryanna, Thomas (Tooter) O’Bryant and wife Melissa along with their children Rowdy and Teagan. She leaves behind her beloved Boston Terrier, Sweet Pea and puppy
Concho and numerous cats.
