Obituary for Robert "Bob" Nix

Robert “Bob” Nix, 97, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 12, 2018 in Paint Creek Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral home.
Bob was born on January 4, 1921 to Lewis and Nettie Nix in Oilton, Oklahoma. He was employed as a foreman in the oilfield. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Normandy Invasion. He was in the 112th Infantry in the European Theater in World War II and was discharged in October 1945.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Nix; his parents; sisters, Marie Sweazy and Lucille Wright; brother, Darrell Nix.
Bob is survived by his son, Tony Warren Nix of Beeville, Texas;
nephews, Lewis Sweazy and wife Nelda and Warren Sweazy and wife Jan; numerous cousins, friends and other family members.
